Understanding that high-quality early childhood learning is key to creating the foundational support that students need for a successful trajectory in K-12 education and beyond, is something that the Early Childhood Academy Public Charter School knows well.
Located in Ward 8, Early Childhood Academy is the most improved DC public charter school in math with a 27% increase on the PARCC assessments test. Serving children from PK3 to 3rd grade, Early Childhood Academy is continuing its growth as a Tier 1 public school for our youngest students.
The mission of Early Childhood Academy is to foster the academic and social/emotional growth and development of each student in a safe and holistic learning environment that will equip all students with the knowledge and tools to become achievers, proficient readers, and critical thinks who thrive for a lifetime as productive and caring citizens.
“We commend our public charter school leaders and teachers who work so hard to provide our students with a quality education,” said Scott Pearson, Executive Director of the DC Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB). “While these PARCC results show improvement over last year, we still have more work to do. We will keep improving the educational options available to DC students and their families.”
