More Public Charter School Students are Career and College Ready

Naomi Rubin DeVeaux of the D.C. Public Charter School Board discussed the state results for the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) tests released late this summer. The results of charter schools during the 2016-16 academic year show improvements in every student population, particularly for African American and Latino students. The results also show a growing number of D.C. charter school students are better prepared and more college and career ready than their traditional public school counterparts.
